When Carter Holt Harvey rebranded to OJI Fibre Solutions, Voice exercised its talent of finding clarity in one of New Zealand’s biggest and most complex rebrands.
After being acquired by Japanese based OJI Group, New Zealand’s Pulp and Paper powerhouse, Carter Holt Harvey came to Voice to help them transition their entire organisation to the new name and way of being.
The multi-layered, multi-disciplined approach included brand development and application for the chosen new name, a brand visual identity showing how the brand would leverage through communications, signage and stationery across eight business units, in 35 locations across four countries – including two iconic mills. Voice completed creative within three months, moving on to the production of launch collateral by November 1, 2015 – making best use of the company’s own paper and fibre based packaging.
Beyond the development of the brand externally, consideration needed to be given to how the brand (and new name) would be communicated internally – Voice developed a small, but concentrated communication plan the would help the brand grow positively in the minds of its caretakers.
“Above the usual givens, I believe Voice has brought maturity, guidance and a process that has helped our client get their arms around the magnitude of the project, and eventually own it” says Jacqui Stevens, Voice Business Director. Voice seamlessly integrated the global OJI brand into one of Australasia’s leading producers of pulp, paper and fibre based packaging, helping to create a new inspirational company built on a solid heritage enabling them to move forward with fresh ideas and optimism.
