The Ministry for Pacific Peoples (MPP) is the public service department advising the government on policies and issues affecting New Zealand’s Pasifika people.

In 2017, the Ministry engaged Voice to refresh its collateral look and feel to increase engagement internally with departmental/ government colleagues and externally with their vast, diverse Pacific audience. We succeeded by using familiar patterns and colours and developing an authentic and accurate bespoke iconographic system that would help cut through the heavy content of MPP’s messaging needs. The refreshed look applied to many pieces of work, including the annual reports, policy guides, language/ information sheets and stationery.

The result is a government department that celebrates Pacific cultures and looks, feels and sounds like the people they represent.
