A brand specialist that has worked with brands at the highest levels across Aotearoa and Australia for over 30 years. Initially, a founding member of Brand By Voice in Wellington in 1987, today I continue to guide Voice as one of the regions most innovative and respected brand consultancies.
Our Auckland and Melbourne teams both specialise in the development of robust, insightful brand strategies and compelling execution. After all my years of working, I still find clarity, leadership and having someone on their side, is what businesses are looking for. Intuition too is important, as it helps to respond to the hectic pace of business these days, when its balanced by experience.
Although originally of British descent, through my upbringing and immediate whanau, I bring a unique perspective to biculturalism and a strong commitment to Te Ao Māori principles and our responsibility to Te Tiriti O Waitangi.

Neil is Ngati Kahu Whangaroa, Ngapuhi descent. Neil understands relationships – between agency and client, brands and consumers, and between strategy and creative execution. A driven problem solver and creative thinker, he leverages his thirty years’ experience in customer service to help serve up meaningful results for the Voice client portfolio.
Neil joined Voice in 2003 and today he and Jonathan co lead the agency, continuing to keep the Voice proposition relevant, meaningful and compelling to businesses.

For more than 20 years he’s worked with senior teams to identify how they set and achieve bold new goals. Powerful strategy he says is all about making the daring decisions that enable a business to change how it’s valued both by the people who buy its products, and by those who work so hard from the inside to bring the brand to life. Mark’s work has taken him from his base in New Zealand to projects in Australia, the UK, Malaysia, Europe and North America. In recent times, he’s tackled problems for Red Bull, Advantage Group, World of Wearable Arts, Lease Plan, Sydney Olympic Park, Vector, Intel Security, Z Energy and NZ Rugby amongst others.

It would be fair to say that branding is in Toby’s DNA. He has been designing, developing and delivering high profile, award winning brands years in the Australasia region for some 10 years. His down to earth personality and dry sense of humour bring a sense of levity to his work. But when it comes to the nitty gritty of brand design, he believes it should be relevant, considered and intuitive.
