When a state-owned enterprise needed to shift to the private enterprise space, they asked Voice to smooth the transition and help the organisation succeed.
The complexities of the project were immediately understood, and Voice worked hard to ensure the new brand continued to convey the trustworthiness and solidity of its past while remaining competitive and market-driven. Voice’s recommendation included taking the brand and identity towards the contemporary end of the spectrum – using bright colours that could breathe life into the garage/workshop-type environments, making them more retail/customer-focused.
The locations, all in industrial areas, suffered from being hard to find, so painting the buildings bright orange and making oversized signage improved this. In the first orange-painted branches, visitation increased by a third overnight.
The VTNZ brand is now almost 30 years old and has stood the test of time.
