The Woollen Mills site in Onehunga has a lot of history, most famously for being where New Zealand’s princess blankets were made.
The client saw the opportunity for the place’s heritage to become part of the area’s new lease on life – Voice was chosen as the agency to articulate this through brand.
The architecture uses sawtooth roofs that showcase the original architecture mixed with contemporary steel and glass to a site steeped in local history. The logo and visual identity needed to complement this in a modern way while paying homage to the past. The result is a considered modern style, with a conversation about the history of this site. A mix of old and new. Perfect for New Zealand’s newest, aspirational commercial address.
